Description

We offer a modern bright home with 2 ensuite bedrooms for rental. One has a double bed with bath and shower. The other has twin beds and a shower. Both are large rooms with views over the countryside.
Each room has coffee/ tea making facilities.
There is also a mezzanine for a quiet read perhaps and our sunny terrace is available for relaxing on and taking breakfast during the summer.

The house stands on 1500 square metres in a little hamlet close to the river and under 2kms from the village of St Vincent sur Oust in Southern Brittany. We have a view over farmland and a lovely pond with resident ducks and swans. The area is very attractive with lots of rivers, trees, rolling farmland and beautiful coastlines. Our house is 500m from the Nantes-Brest canal and the Ile aux Pies, which is a classified site.

Our nearest town is Redon, a pretty town at the confluence of 2 rivers and the Nantes-Brest Canal. It has a very attractive old town centre and a pleasure port. Market day is on Mondays and all types of shopping are catered for including 3 large supermarkets.

We are about 30 minutes from the coast at Damgan. Recommended also are La Baule, Penestin, Le Croisic and the Côte Sauvage.

Towns and villages to visit include La Gacilly, Malestroit, Rochefort en Terre, Guérande, Vannes, Josselin. Visit the standing stones at Monteneuf and /or St Just. Also nearby is the forest of Brocéliande, the home of the legend of King Arthur.

We are pretty much equidistant from 3 cities - Vannes, very picturesque on the Gulf of Morbihan with its leisure port and walled town, the beautiful city of Rennes, the capital of Brittany with an airport link to Paris and UK (go by train from Redon and experience the TGV!) and Nantes, again with a lovely centre of old buildings including the Duke's Palace, a tramway system and an airport. The road network is excellent but without too much traffic.
